How do solve the wipers that are frozen?
June 27 , 2022Many car owners will definitely encounter the situation that the wiper blade is frozen in winter. If you accidentally open the frozen wiper or force it, it will easily cause the wiper fuse to blow. If the fuse is blown, the windshield wiper will not normally work even after it is thawed, and the wiper fuse needs to be replaced. In winter, you should pay attention to the situation that the wiper is frozen, and thaw it in time before using it, otherwise, it will waste money to replace the fuse.
Solution for frozen wipers:
1. The air conditioner in the vehicle is turned on, and it is in a hot air state. Then adjust the direction of the air outlet to blow to the front windshield. After the current windshield temperature rises, the wipers will gradually thaw;
2. Use warm water to pour over the wipers, never use hot water. Otherwise, the wiper will break due to uneven heating and cooling;
3. The owner can wrap the wiper with a plastic bag after parking so that there is no need to be afraid that the wiper will freeze when it snows.
4. After parking, stand the wipers up so they don't touch the front windshield and freeze.
When the car owner uses the wiper, it may encounter a situation where the car wiper sprays water but does not swing. First, turn on the wiper switch and listen to the wiper motor for sound. The motor will make a sound when it is working. If there is no sound, the motor is broken. If there is a sound, it means that the swinging place is rusted and stuck. You can add some lubricating oil, and just loosen the screw. In most cases, the motor is burnt, rust will not appear unless the vehicle is parked for a long time.
