What should I do if the windshield wiper stops working while driving in the rain?
July 11 , 2022
The meaning of car wipers is to help us sweep away the "obstacles" on the glass in rainy and foggy weather, to ensure that drivers have a good line of sight in rainy and foggy weather, and to ensure driving safety. When it comes to the rainy season, no matter what area it is, you will face the problem of car wiper blades.
So what should we do if the wipers break when it rains?
Solution 1:
You can find the car's fuse box to see if the windshield wiper fuse is blown. Typically, the fuse box is located on the side of the head of the vehicle near the battery.
After opening the fuse box, locate the wiper fuse from the markings on the back of the fuse box. Remove the wiper fuse with the fuse clip and check for a burnt out.
Confirm that the wiper fuse is blown, find the location of the spare fuse from the markings on the back of the box, and pay attention to the amps of the fuse to be replaced, otherwise, if the fuse is replaced incorrectly, a short circuit may occur.
Activate the wiper switch and check that the wiper blade are working properly.
Solution 2:
If the wiper fuse is not blown, the wiper motor is likely to fail, and the motor failure cannot be resolved by itself. It is recommended that the owner take it to an auto repair shop for processing.
During driving, if it rains, you should pay attention to avoid continuous driving, because if there is no wiper to remove the water on the windshield in time, it is easy to interfere with the driver's sight.
